John Pass

Varsity Head Coach

I played 3 years of Varsity soccer at Hopkins High School. After graduating in 2013, I began coaching in the Hopkins HS program and at Tonka United. I spent six years there before being named the u10-13 age group director at North Suburban Soccer Association. After spending a fall at Mounds Park Academy, I will now be starting my second year as MV Girls Head Coach. I will continue to coach club soccer at Fusion Soccer Club and continue to learn more about the sport I love. My purpose as a coach is to provide an inclusive environment that encourages learning and joy for all players.

Grace Kruger

Varsity Assistant Coach

I’m heading into my sixth year coaching at Mounds View and my third as the Assistant Varsity Coach! I graduated from Mounds View in 2018 after four years on varsity, serving as captain for two of them. Soccer has always been a huge part of my life—I’ve also been coaching with the North Suburban Soccer Association since 2016, helping players grow their skills and love for the game.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bethel University in 2021 and will be graduating this fall with my Master of Education in School Counseling from Grand Canyon University. When I’m not on the field, you’ll probably find me on the lake with friends, working out, spending time with family, or soaking up every moment as a proud auntie to three amazing kids.

Warren Herrera

Junior Varsity Coach

If you were to ask me to name my number one passion, the answer would be soccer. My name is Warren Herrera, and I was born and raised in Costa Rica, with Soccer being at the heart of my life experience. The skills that I have learned from playing soccer has served me well professionally and personally, having learned dedication, commitment, and perseverance to continually evolve into more, and constantly striving to succeed.

My youth playing days brought me internationally and since moving to MN, I have continued to play in different leagues throughout the Twin Cities, I hold a grassroots coaching license and have been coaching throughout the state in various capacities.

My wife and I have lived in Shoreview for the last 15 years and we have 2 boys and a girl, I’m very excited to be part of the MoundsView High School girls program.

B Team Coach

I am so excited to return to MV as the new B team coach! I graduated from MVSH in 2020 and played soccer all 4 years. I was on Varsity for 3 years and was a captain for 2. I graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in elementary education while playing on their club team. I’ve coached junior academy at NSSA for many years and am excited to take the leap to high school. Outside of soccer I love to workout, try new coffee shops, and bake!
